Via één van onze vakdidactisch meesters bereikte ons het bericht dat er abstracts kunnen worden ingestuurd voor een eendaagse conferentie van het Language Learning Resource Centre van Universiteit Leiden. Zie hieronder de call.
On June 5th, 2026, the Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC, Leiden University) will host a one-day conference dedicated to language teacher research. We welcome contributions from all types of teachers. Submissions may include action research, educational design projects, or other topics, as long as the focus is on the teacher’s own practice. In addition, we invite presentations on research and good practices that address language teacher research as a topic.
Please find the call for abstracts here, the deadline for submissions is February 15.
Update 30 april 2026
On June 5th, 2026, the Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC, Leiden University) will host a one-day conference dedicated to language teacher research. Research into second language (L2) teaching, learning and acquisition, can be extremely valuable for the development of quality language education. Yet sometimes research can seem far removed from practice, or does not reach or address the ‘real’ questions of those to whom it could mean most: teachers and students. Unless, of course, they are the ones doing the research.
With this in mind, the 2026 LLRC conference focuses on language teacher research. Keynote speaker Dr Darío Banegas of the University of Edinburgh will share with us his insights from and regarding teachers’ action research, and the programme will place research by teachers in the spotlight. Please find the full programme and link for registration here. Early bird registration finishes on May 19th.
